Henrietta Barton

August 24, 1933 — June 11, 2007

Henrietta Antonia Barton, age 73, of West, passed away Monday afternoon, June 11, 2007 at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Janice Kaluza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Barton was born on August 24, 1933 in McLennan County near West, the daughter of John and Mary (Zvesper) Sulak. She attended school in Aquilla and on February 5, 1951, she was united in marriage to Raymond Frank Barton Sr. in Abbott. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1999. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Henrietta and her late husband Raymond were co-owners of Ray's Electric and Plumbing in West for over 56 years and the business continues to operate today with their dedicated employees for many years, Randy, Phillip and Laura. Henrietta and her husband enjoyed dancing and listening to Czech music with her sister Leona and late husband George Hanzlicek. She was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Henrietta was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, St. Anne's Altar Society, Catholic Daughter's of America Court No. 829, K.J.Z.T. No. 11 St. Ludmilla Society, and S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #54, all in West. She is preceded in death by her son, Raymond Barton Jr., her son-in-law, Tom Overton; three brothers, John P. Sulak, Joe C. Sulak and Wesley R. Sulak; her infant sister, and sisters, Mary Girard and Agnes Adamson. Survivors include two sons, Randy Barton and Craig Barton and his wife Becky, all of West; four daughters, Joanie Barton of Canyon Country, California, Judy Overton of Cleveland, Texas, Becky Cartier of Round Rock and Jackie Mynarcik and husband John of West; daughter-in-law, Sandy Barton of West; three sisters, Ann Chabisek of San Antonio, Leona Hanzlicek of West and Frances Zeptner of Burleson; eleven grandchildren, Jason, Amy and Shelley Barton, Nathan and Matthew Overton, Whitney and Kaylie Mynar, Ashlee Mynarcik, Alex, Thomas and Christian Barton; one great-grandson, Maddox Montgomery; aand several nieces, nephews, other friends, and relatives. Active pallbearers will be Jason Barton, Matthew Overton, Richard Sulak, Dennis Sulak, Jerry Nors, Edwin Sulak, Dr. Walt Mellgren Jr., Larry Payne, Glenn Browder, Tommy Gerik,and Jimmie Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Barton, Thomas Barton, Christian Barton, Nathan Overton, Maddox Montgomery, Whitney Mynar, Kaylie Mynar, Ashlee Mynarcik, Amy Barton, and Shelley Barton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center, St. Mary's School Endowment Fund, or West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
