Harry Machac

Harry Machac, age 61, of Abbott, passed away early Saturday morning, April 30, 2011 near Abbott. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Holland, officiating. Burial will follow at West Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Harry was born September 27, 1949 in Malone, the son of Charlie and Delphine (Skarpa) Machac. He attended Abbott schools and graduating from Abbott High School in 1967 and Hill College, with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Harry worked at the Abbott Gin and Farmer's Gin. He also was a farmer and rancher for most of his life. He was a former member of the Abbott Volunteer Fire Department. Harry enjoyed riding around with his dog Max, visiting his family and friends, and playing with his favorite great nephew, Wyatt. Harry is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a sister, Willie Mae Kramolis and husband Dan of Abbott; two nephews, Terry Kramolis and Tim Kramolis, both of Abbott; a niece, Tammie Holecek and husband John of Abbott; a great nephew, Wyatt Holecek; his dog, Max; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Terry Kramolis, Tim Kramolis, Leonard Slamcik, Jeff Bladecki, Victor Cvikel, Roye Payne, Mike Bole, and Milton Flaherty. Honorary pallbearers are Tammie Holecek, Wyatt Holecek, Chris Mitchell, all his close friends, and his dog, Max. Memorials may be made to the Abbott Volunteer Fire Department. You took great care of your Mama like any good son would do And we tried to take care of you, like we promised her we'd do. We know you'll keep watch over us in your own special way Until we see you in heaven again some sweet and glorious day. Rest easy Harry, because we know God has said: WELL DONE MY SON!
