Harrold Kissinger

Harrold Lloyd Kissinger, age 92, of Waco, passed away Tuesday evening, September 24, 2024 at his residence.


A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West.


Harrold was born December 26, 1931 in Electra, Texas near Wichita Falls, the son of L. Z. and Cleo (Worley) Kissinger. He was a 1949 graduate of Whitney High School. Harrold proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1958. Then on November 15, 1958 he was united in marriage to Lillian Nors in Abbott. Harrold was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #7202, both in Bellmead. He was a purchasing agent for Tymco, Inc. in Waco for over 30 years before retiring in 2010. Harrold enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, traveling, going to the coast, listening to his radio scanner, and skiing with his family in Colorado. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Harrold is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Patrick Henry Kissinger.


Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Lillian Kissinger of Waco; his children, Timothy Kissinger, Randal Kissinger and wife Joycelyn, Michael Kissinger and wife Gale, and Andrea Howard and husband David, all of Waco; his grandchildren, James Kissinger and fiance Cassie Skilling, Cody Gregory, Paisley Fischer and husband Joshua, Corey Crouch and Kailie Weber, Kameron Kissinger and wife London, Kolby Kissinger and wife Alex, Cayla Cook and husband Collin, Landon Howard and wife Bryn, and Payton Howard; great grandchildren, Jayslie, Cade, Colt, Harrison, Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Jack; his brother, Donald Kissinger; his dog, Samson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Pallbearers are James Kissinger, Corey Crouch, Kameron Kissinger, Kolby Kissinger, Landon Howard and Payton Howard.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
