Harold Ray Sexton Jr., age 52, of Abbott, passed away Friday morning, December 18, 2020 at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. Harold was born July 2, 1968 in Waco. He was a 1987 graduate of West High School. On January 3, 2000, he was united in marriage to Julie Allen in Waco. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Desert Storm War. He worked for Durham Transportation and Sherwin Williams in Waco for several years. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting skeet, watching action movies, stand up comedy routines, and had a good sense of humor even if his jokes weren't funny. Harold loved spending time with his wife and children. He was so very proud of his girls and all of their accomplishments. Harold is preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Sexton Sr.; his mother-in-law, Debbie Leuschner; paternal grandfather, Ray Sexton; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Geneva Burton. Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Julie Sexton of Abbott; his daughters, Keila Sexton, Kearstyn Sexton, and Kylie Sexton; brothers-in-law, Preston Leuschner and Troy Allen; a nephew, Devin Allen and wife Elizabeth; a great-niece, Rylie Allen; fathers-in-law, Dion Leuschner and Steve Allen and wife Carla; paternal grandmother, Marie Sexton; his dogs, Gizmo and Bradleigh; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
