Gwen Whitman, 62, of West, passed away peacefully in her home on February 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be held 4:00 Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Mozon officiating. Born in Dallas on August 15, 1955. Gwen was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Edd Maler of West and was the beautiful wife of Termite Whitman, also of West. Gwen was the oldest of six children. She grew up in surrounded by a very large and loving family. She met the love of her life in 1987 while Termite was still in the Airforce and they were married on June 27, 1997. They shared an amazing life together, full of laughter, fishing, blues music, smacking Termite in the head, their beautiful dog Mac and an endless supply of unconditional Love. The passion that Termite had for his wife was such an infectious happy feeling. Those that knew her, knew that she was the cool on the flipside of the pillow, she loved everyone and was a special kind of root in your life, there to stay no matter what the weather would bring. Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Edd Maler; beloved son, David Wayne Miles; and a brother, Robert Earl Lucas. She is Survived by her doting husband Termite and adoring siblings, Kim Turnbough and husband Melvin of Whitney, Gale Bullard and husband David of Morgan, Kathy Ballew of Aquilla and Anissa Adamson and husband Inky of West. Gwen is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, In Laws, Outlaws, Nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and an abundance of friends from all walks of life.
