Gloria Ryno Dugan

Gloria Wane (Ryno) Dugan, age 88, of Aquilla, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 6, 2017 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Gloria was born January 28, 1929 in Aquilla, the daughter of G.E. and Willie (Whalen) Ryno. She graduated from Aquilla High School and married Durwood Samford in 1946. Durwood preceded her in death in 1957. She then attended Waco Beauty School. Gloria was a rancher and co-owner of Dugan Trailer Company in Groesbeck. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West. Gloria enjoyed taking care of her cattle, keeping a journal, dancing, and working crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially attending their activities. Gloria is preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Vice; a husband, James Dugan; her best friend, Dana Hodges; a brother-in-law, Donald Horn; a sister-in-law, Betty Ryno; a nephew, Mike Horn; and her dog, Katy. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Pavelka and husband Billy of Aquilla and Lesa Stone and husband Kevin of Groesbeck; a brother, Gene Ryno; a sister, Polly Horn, grandchildren, Richard Pavelka and wife Candice, Gina Giesen and husband Gary, Shawn Henderson and wife Kacie, Brandi Vice, Charity Vice, Blake Stone and wife McKenzie and Will Stone; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Shawn Henderson, Blake Stone, Will Stone, Richard Pavelka, Kevin Stone, Billy Pavelka, Randy Ryno, Tommy Ryno, Gary Giesen, Jeremy Myers, Scott Myers and Bret Hodges. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
