Gerri Tobola Weber

Geraldine D. "Gerri" Tobola Weber, age 75, of Corsicana, passed away late Monday evening, September 4, 2023 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Penelope, with Rev. Thomas Jones as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery near Penelope.

Gerri was born June 15, 1948 in Waco, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Gorubec) Tobola. She was a 1966 graduate of Penelope High School, attended the University of Texas, and Vogue Cosmetology School. Gerri was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She worked for several nursing homes as a Nursing Home Administrator and retired in 1995. On January 15, 1999 she was united in marriage to Stephen Weber in Tours. Gerri enjoyed dancing, sewing, crafting, helping others, and talking on the phone visiting with friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and never met a stranger. Gerri loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and her granddogs, Khloe and Lily.

Gerri is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Grmela and JoAnn Tobola; a brother, Robert Tobola; and the father of her children, Tony Michalek.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 24 years, Stephen Weber of Corsicana; her sons, Frank Michalek and wife Michelle of Lorena, and Dan Michalek and wife Britany of Axtell; a step-daughter, Teresa Windham and husband Andy of Corsicana; grandchildren, Corey Michalek, Bethany Michalek, Erin and Michael Coffee, Clayton Parnell, and Nathan Parnell; honorary granddaughter, Clara Caballero; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Kevin Lander, Robert Michalek, Thomas Michalek, Mike Tobola, Edward Grmela, Eddie Grmela, and Michael Coffee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery Association.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Ascension Providence ICU for their care while Gerri was in the hospital.
