Gerleen (Cox) Vochoska, age 89, of West, passed away early Saturday morning, May 6, 2017 at The Harrison at Heritage Community in Ft. Worth. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Minister Ernie Albrecht officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday at the funeral home. Gerleen was born February 10, 1928 in the Tokio community near West, the daughter of Thomas and Ruby (Brewer) Cox. She was a 1945 graduate of West High School. On June 8, 1947 she was united in marriage to William S. Vochoska in Waco. Willie preceded her in death on March 17, 2012. Gerleen was a Mother, homemaker and worked for William Cameron Company in Waco for 11 years. She was a faithful member of the West Church of Christ. Gerleen enjoyed writing poems, painting, gardening, reading, playing "42" with her friends and cooking for her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gerleen is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Tom Cox. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Vochoska and wife Charla of Ft. Worth and Stephen Vochoska and wife Vicki of West; grandchildren, Kenna Whitehead and husband Kirk, Gregg Vochoska and Wife Devon, Brian Vochoska, and Kayla Stroven and husband Brian; great grandchildren, Raegan, Ace, Heather, Brycen, Aleyna, Zion, Nyla, Jackson and Ava; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Gregg Vochoska, Brian Vochoska, Brian Stroven, Kirk Whitehead, Ace Whitehead and Adolph Vochoska Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
