Geraldine Ann "Geri" (Mikeska) Brezina, of Ft. Worth, formerly of the City of West, passed away Friday morning, April 15, 2005 in Ft. Worth. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by a visitation until 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Brezina was born on March 10, 1918 in Abbott, the daughter of Frank and Albine (Hejl) Mikeska. On November 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Louis "Breezy" Brezina in Corpus Christi. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1975. She retired after twenty years of service to the Ft. Worth Independent School District. Geraldine loved playing bingo, "42", and especially spending time with family and her grandchildren, "Nanny B" loved to cook and garden. She was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 54 in West and St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Ft. Worth. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Brezina and his wife Dolores of Ft. Worth and James Brezina and his wife Fran of Midland; four daughters, Peggy Dresbach, Mary Kubes and her husband Rick and Sandra Kellner, all of Ft. Worth and Carolyn Parra and her husband Bobby of Hurst; a twin brother, George Mikeska of West; four sisters, Ruby Kucera, Efie Srubar, Elsie Kucera and Bessie Surovik; sixteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Louis Brezina, Ben Brezina, Jason Brezina, John Dresbach, Jordan Kellner, Greg Kubes, and Jeff Kubes. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
