Georgia Vrba Juricek, age 83, of Elm Mott, passed away early Sunday morning, January 22, 2017 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Will Straten and Msgr. Isidor Rozycki as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. Georgia was born May 5, 1933 in Abbott, the daughter of Willie Joe and Frances (Pustejovsky) Pokluda. On November 15, 1950 she was united in marriage to Andrew A. Vrba in Abbott. Andrew preceded her in death on July 30, 1995. Georgia was then united in marriage to Raymond J. Juricek on October 3, 1998 in Tours. Raymond preceded her in death on February 21, 2013. Georgia was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria for Connally School District for over 24 years, before retiring in 1990. She was a faithful member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughter's of America Court #829 and VFW Post #4819 Ladies Auxiliary. Georgia enjoyed gardening, feeding the hummingbirds and cooking. She especially loved spending time with her family. Georgia is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill "Swamp" Pokluda; and a sister, Willie Mae Holecek. Survivors include her children, Patricia Jung and husband Ken of Elm Mott, Dr. Kathleen Humphries and husband Eugene of Arlington, Kenneth Vrba of Rio Vista, Glenn Vrba and wife Teri of Decatur, Anthony Vrba and wife Angela of Whitehouse and Richard Vrba and partner Paul Jameson of Waco; step-sons, Dan Juricek and wife Patricia and Larry Juricek; a brother, Daniel Pokluda and wife Jeanette; sisters, Lois Ann Turley and Doris Hutyra; a sis-in-law, Lou Pokluda; 9 grandchildren, Christopher Jung, Jared Jung and wife Lydia, Dr. Georgia Hay, James Vrba and wife Amanda, Jeremy Vrba and wife Cricket, Andrew Vrba, Whitney Vrba, Meagan Vrba and Connor Vrba; 6 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are David Holecek, T.J. Holecek, Bill Hutyra, Devin Pokluda, B.J. Humphries and Brandon Juricek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
