Georgia Pustejovsky, age 91, of Abbott passed away early Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2008 at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Msgr. Henry Petter as celebrant, assisted by Vincent Meinzer. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mrs. Pustejovsky was born February 22, 1917 in Hill County, the daughter of Emil and Josephine (Sulak) Kolar. Georgia attended Alligator School and graduated from Aquilla High School. On November 23, 1937 she was united in marriage to John J. Pustejovsky in West. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1997. Georgia was a homemaker and worked for Aquilla I.S.D. as a cook for several years. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott where she served on the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 and K.J.Z.T. Society No. 104. Her parents; three sons, Rev. Bernard Pustejovsky, Ronnie Pustejovsky, and Dennis Ray Pustejovsky; her daughter, Janice Kay Pustejovsky; three brothers, Louis Kolar, Henry, Kolar, and Milton Kolar; and one sister, Lucille Schroeder also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Myra Jernigan of Dallas; three sons, Erwin Pustejovsky and wife Rita of Combine, James Pustejovsky and wife Dorothy of Ennis, and Gary Pustejovsky and wife Betsy of Sunnyvale; daughter-in-law, Delma Sue Pustejovsky of West; two sisters, Josephine Meinzer of Dallas and Adele Matus of Bellmead; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are Mike Pustejovsky, Jimmy Pustejovsky, Erwin Pustejovsky, Jr., Jeffery Pustejovsky, Cory Pustejovsky, Kenneth Jernigan, and Steve Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Novy and Charlie Samford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Ambulance Association or Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Abbott.
