George Lindsay

George Lindsay, age 62, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2019 at his residence. Memorial service will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, May 3, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in West, with Rev. Todd Pick officiating. George was born November 16, 1956 in Harrison, New York, the son of John and Joan (Nimphius) Lindsay. He attended Harrison High School. On June 12, 2005 George was united in marriage to Veronica Miller in Pecan Gap, Texas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of West. George was a "jack of all trades". He worked several different jobs, including construction and asphalt work, throughout his career before retiring in 2007. George enjoyed fishing, boating, muscle cars, motorcycles and car shows. He loved helping others in any way that he could, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson. George is preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Joseph Miller, Jr.; and a sister, Diana Pryor. Survivors include his beloved wife of 14 years, Veronica Lindsay of West; stepchildren, Brenden Miller and Cierra Miller, both of West; a grandson, Dominic Hernandez; a sister, Rachel Mirando; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of West.
