George F. Prnka

George F. Prnka, age 65, of West, passed away Sunday morning, July 24, 2016 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Marys Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Vincent Romuald as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery. George was born November 28, 1950 in Waco, the son of the late George A. and Frances (Manna) Prnka. He attended West schools and was a 1969 honor graduate of West High School. George was a mechanic and was a carpenter with his father. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of the Assumption. He was also a member of the KJT Society #31. George enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on his Cobra kit car. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include a sister, Helen Sanchez and husband Jessie Jr of East Bernard; a brother, Edwin Prnka and wife Annette of West; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Prnka, Jennifer Prnka, Jessie Sanchez III and wife Shauna and Kasey Macha and husband John; a great niece and nephews, Kimball, Jacoby and Gavin; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Jeremy Prnka, Jesse Sanchez III, Jim H. Johnson, Jeff Maynard, Tommy Birkes and Jimmy Pavlicek. Honorary pallbearers are West High School Class of 1969. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
