Geneva Dickey, age 75, of Penelope, passed away early Thursday morning, February 1, 2007 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Penelope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dickey was born November 30, 1931 in Birome, the daughter of Arnold and Ethel (Christian) Stepp. She attended schools in Penelope and was a member of the High School Basketball Team. On September 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to Leslie H. Dickey in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and loving mother. Geneva attended the Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Her parents and two brothers, Arnold Stepp and Doyle Stepp, preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 52 years, Leslie H. Dickey of Penelope; five daughters, Cindy Kimbrell and her husband Stephen of Leroy, Bonnie Paranuk of Penelope, Dawn Schloss of Bynum, Leslie Nichols and her husband Rick of Penelope, and Mamie Reece and her husband Leland of Malone; one brother, Robert Stepp of Hubbard; two sisters, Naomia Scott and Patsy Dunlap of Penelope; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are Brandon Paranuk, Nicholas Paranuk, Zachary Paranuk, Richard Johnson, Justin Masterson, Leland Reece, Rick Nichols, and Josh Baumgardner. Honorary pallbearers are Vince Cortez, Terry Crum, Jay Allen, and Bryan Harcrow.
