Gary Wayne Glaesmann

Gary Wayne Glaesmann, age 66, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 7, 2024 at his residence.

Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in West, with Rev. John Woodard and Rev. Kenneth Hutyra officiating.

Gary was born July 4, 1957 in Waco, the son of Robert and Louise (Gaskamp) Glaesmann. He attended schools in Robinson and was a 1975 graduate of Robinson High School prior to attending Texas State Technical College. On April 14, 1979 he was united in marriage to Johanna Bartosh in West. Gary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of West. He was a general collection manager for Members Choice Federal Credit Union for the past 26 years. Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing his guitar, listening to music, singing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Robert Glaesmann Jr.; a brother, Michael  Glaesmann; and a brother-in-law, Raymond "Sonny" Bartosh.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Johanna Glaesmann of West; his mother, Louise Glaesmann; his sons, Brandon Glaesmann and wife Courtney of Whitney, Blake Glaesmann of West, and Bryce Glaesmann of Austin; his grandchildren, Zachary, Keagan, and Savanna Glaesmann; a sister, Brenda Robinson and husband Rod; a sister-in-law, Betty Bartosh; two nephews, Aaron Robinson and wife Megan, and Jeremy Campbell and wife Jennifer; two nieces, Ashley Brazell and husband Rusty, and Mandy Jares and husband David; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
