Gary Lynn Morgan

Gary Lynn Morgan, age 53, of Hurst, passed away late Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Ft. Worth. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Abbott Cemetery, with the Rev. James Poe officiating. Gary was born September 26, 1954 in Waco, the son of Morris, Sr. and Laverna (Hallman) Morgan. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1973 and on January 21, 1990, he was united in marriage to Linda Phillips in Garland. He served his country in the United States Army. Gary worked for Blue Star Self-Storage in Lewisville for several years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and collecting barbershop memorabilia. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas. His father, Morris Morgan, Sr. precedes him in death. Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Morgan of Hurst; his mother, Laverna Morgan of Hurst; his brother, Morris Mason Morgan, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Mansfield; his nieces, Meredith Ann Hobbs and her husband Andy of Royse City; two nephews, Chad Morgan and his wife Angela of Fairfield and Jared Morgan of Houston; great-nieces, Lydia Hobbs, Mattie Hobbs, and Morgan Hobbs; his great-nephew, Drew Hobbs; several other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
