Gary Kramolis

Gary Wayne Kramolis, age 58, of West, formerly of Abbott, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Private burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023 until service time at the funeral home.

Gary was born September 26, 1964 in Hillsboro, the son of Jerry and Margaret (Janda) Kramolis. He attended school in Abbott and was a 1983 graduate of Abbott High School. Gary was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. He worked in the maintenance department for West Rest Haven for several years. Gary enjoyed working on cars, driving fast cars, and collecting many different things like baseball cards, coins, and matchbox cars. He loved his dogs, the Dallas Cowboys, and especially his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda Kocurek.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Herrell and husband Charles of Abbott; his brother, Donnie Kramolis and wife Liz of Arlington; a brother-in-law, John Kocurek of Whitney; nephews, Jason Herrell and wife Shannon, Derek Kramolis and wife Katie, and Dylan Kramolis; nieces, Jennifer Miller and husband Brett and Erica Young and husband Cody; great nieces, Jacalyn Herrell and Emilia Kramolis; a great nephew, Colton Kramolis; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association or the West Volunteer Fire Department.
