Gail Ferris

Gail Dean (Kutzer) Ferris, age 66, of Abbott, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, November 2, 2022 at her residence.

Graveside Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, with J.D. Feltgen officiating.

Gail was born July 2, 1956 in San Antonio, the daughter of the late Edward and Nina (Pinkston) Kutzer. She was a graduate of  Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. In July 1979 she married the love of her life Bobby Gene Ferris in San Antonio. They are now reunited, as Bobby preceded her in death on July 12, 2005. Gail was a loving, supportive military housewife. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, being active and especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Floyd Justin Ferris and Jarrett Henry Eugene Kutzer Ferris, both of Abbott; her granddaughter, Katrina Ferris; her siblings, Shirley Hack, Cheryl Sheffer and husband Donald, Edward Kutzer II, Tracy Roach and husband David, Karen Hauck, Janice Hampton, and Tammy Kutzer-Palacios and husband David; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
