Fronie Watson

Fronie (Robinson) Watson, age 80, of West, passed away Monday afternoon, August 23, 2010, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in West with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. Mrs. Watson was born on January 26, 1930 in Tahoka, the daughter of Alton and Virgia (Spangler) Robinson. She attended Tahoka and Lamesa schools. On November 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Willie Dee Watson in Plainview. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1991. She was a home maker, childcare giver, and also worked at the Senior Center in Plainview. Mrs. Watson loved quilting, sewing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a nourishing and wonderful caregiver to her family. In 1992, Mrs. Watson moved to West and was a volunteer for West Community Hospital Auxiliary for several years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in West. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Jared Lovelady. Survivors include three daughters, Anita Lovelady and husband Mike of Cypress, Dee Anne Reaves and husband Walter "Skip" of West, and Lynell Ritchardson and husband Johnny of Washburn; one brother, Jimmy Robinson and wife Mary Jo of Temple; four sisters, Inez Shafer and Snooky Hale, both of Belton, Ruby Hawk of Temple, and Peggy Fox and husband Roger of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jeremy Lovelady, Jacob Lovelady, Mika Runyan and husband Christopher, and Matthew Reaves; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Cailee, and Hunter; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lovelady, Skip Reaves, Johnny Ritchardson, Jeremy Lovelady, Christopher Runyan, Jacob Lovelady, and Matthew Reaves. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cal Farley Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, or the charity of your choice.
