Frankie Vela (Arthur) Thrower, age 69, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away late Tuesday evening, December 5, 2006 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with the Rev. Todd Ewing and Rev. Greg Way officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thrower was born on January 20, 1937 in West, the daughter of Chester Allen and Vinnie Margueritte (Thrower) Arthur. She attended schools in West, Lacy Lakeview and Connally where she was a flagbearer. On March 16, 1985, she was united in marriage to Rev. Ray Dell Thrower in Lacy Lakeview. She was a homemaker and a devoted loving mother and grandmother. Frankie loved singing, traveling, decorating, crafts, and going to all the garage sales. She was an honorary member of the old Lacy Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department, The Waco Singles Square Dance Club and a Girl Scout Leader while in Montana. She was a member of The Leroy Church where she sang in the choir. Her parents; a grandson, Neil Milliken; a stepson, Kelly Ray Thrower; and mother-in-law, Novelene Thrower; all preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband of 21 years, Rev. Ray Thrower of Lacy Lakeview; two sons, Bobbye Averitt Baldwin Jr. and wife Ellen of Livermore, CA and Marco Nico D'Amico and wife Lisa of Renton, WA; four daughters, Marita Bethea Broome and husband Terry of Lacy Lakeview, Cynthia Dianne Redd and husband Marty Jo of Caldwell, ID, Angela Christina Sanders and husband Johnny of Lacy Lakeview and Jennifer Alissa Caddell of Austin; two stepsons, Glen Scott Thrower and wife Denise of Littlerock, AR and Eric Brandon Thrower and wife Sarah of Phoenix, AZ; a twin sister, Jackie Arthur Holmberg of Lacy Lakeview; sixteen grandchildren, Alexandra, Madison, Nico, Mason, Dakota, Lisa, Jill, Mark, Elizabeth, Catherine, Sam, Sadie, Christopher, Connor, Joshua and Kristi; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, James, Cory and Noah; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Sanders, Tomas Cardoza, Robert Ming, Hayden Harris Moody and Paul Douglas Arthur. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Waco or charity of your choice.
