Frankie J. Gerik

Frankie J. Gerik, 74, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. Rosary will be recited 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West by Father Anthony Odiong. Mass of Christian Burial will follow with the Rev. Stephen Nesrsta as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Gerik was born May 11, 1932 in West and had lived in the West area most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption and graduated from St. Mary's School in West. He is survived by his brothers, Johnny Gerik and wife, Evelyn of West, Bernard Gerik of Waco and Marvin Gerik of West; sisters, Mrs. Ed (Doris) Nesrsta of Abbott and Mary Jane Gerik of Waco and several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers are Chris Gerik, Richard Gerik, Calvin Gerik, Mark Gerik, Larry Nesrsta and Edward Nesrsta. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center or the Seminarians Fund. Kotch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
