Frank J. Steinocher

Frank J. Steinocher, age 89, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, March 1, 2018. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Mary's Cemetery with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. Frank was born March 26, 1928 in West, the son of Frank L. and Janie (Foitek) Steinocher. He attended St. Mary's school. Frank was a carpenter for Fleetwood Mobile Homes and the Centre Apartments in Waco until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of the Assumption. Frank enjoyed watching westerns and raising chickens and pigeons. He especially loved his faithful companion, his dog named "Casey". Frank was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Jennifer Steinocher; brothers Raymond and Edward Steinocher; and a brother-in-law, Rudolph Gajdosik. Survivors include his sister, Dorothy Gajdosik; nieces and nephews, Dorothy Sembera and husband Alvin, Evelyn Wedeking and husband Richard, Melissa Fritz and husband Ray and Kenneth Steinocher and wife Mechelle; a sister-in-law, Betty Steinocher; and several great nieces, great nephews other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Waco Humane Society.
