Frances Horn, age 90, of Lancaster, formerly of West, passed away Wednesday evening, July 11, 2007 at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Lancaster. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Horn was born June 14, 1917 in West, the daughter of William and Lelar (Barrett) Ferguson. She attended schools in West. On November 26, 1932 she was united in marriage to Henry Hollin Horn in West. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1986. Frances worked in the West Textile Mills and operated her own beauty shop for over 21 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in West. Her parents; a son, W. E. "Buddy" Horn; two brothers, Ed Ferguson and Willie Ferguson; and two sisters, Ola Greer and Mary Lucas also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Henry H. Horn Jr. and his wife Eva of Dallas; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Horn of Temple; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
