Frances Anne Brezina

Frances Anne Brezina, age 60, of Midland, Texas faithfully departed to her beloved Lord Jesus Christ on August 25, 2008 in Midland. Vigil and rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Midland. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. Friday until service time. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she was born in New York City December 21, 1947. Marrying a native Texan, she has been a resident of Midland, Texas for the past 34 years. As a graduate of Texas Tech School of Nursing, she spent her life dedicated to the care of others as a labor and delivery nurse, retiring 5 years ago. In addition to her dedication to her patients, she was actively involved with her church of 34 years, St. Ann's Catholic Church. She loved the peace of the outdoors, traveling with her husband, her children and grandson, and a friendly game of pinochle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jaye and V.J. Gonnella. Fran is survived by her husband, James of Midland; sister, Bobby Case and husband Marty of Euless; brother, Ron Gonnella and wife Penny of Denver; daughter, Cynthia of Midland; sons, Louis of Ft. Worth ; Ben and wife Monica of Lewisville; her grandson, Baylen Vincent, as well as a large extended family and numerous friends.
