Floyd V. Marcott, Sr.

August 22, 1933 — December 27, 2005

Floyd V. Marcott, Sr. age 72, of Laguna Park, formerly of Tokio, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Green officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Marcott was born on August 22, 1933 in Tokio, the son of Roy and Jessie Mae (Carr) Marcott. He attended Tokio School and on March 22, 1978 was united in marriage to June Eileen Swartz. He was a truck driver, working for Merchants Freight Line in Waco for over 30 years before retiring in 1996. Floyd loved to travel and spend time with his family. He also had a great love for his pets. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, June Marcott of Laguna Park; four sons, Floyd "Bubba" Marcott Jr. and wife Anita of Hubbard, Ronnie Marcott and wife Connie of Bellmead; Ricky Don Marcott and wife Twyla and Delton "Feller" Marcott and wife Regina, all of Tokio; two step-sons, David Dahman and wife Debbie of Somerville, and Mike Dahman and wife Dianna of Gholson; two step-daughters, Pat Hooper and husband Rollin of Austin and Stacy Zatopek and husband Royce of Rockwall; three sisters, Jewel Bruner of Longview, Marie Colvin and husband Danny of Oklahoma City, OK and Mary Rose Bullard and husband Earl of Laguna Park; twenty-six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Floyd "Bubba" Marcott, Jr., Ronnie Marcott, Delton "Feller" Marcott, Mike Dahman, Earl Bullard, and Kenneth Lowe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
