Florence M. Pustejovsky, age 82, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, May 8, 2008 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Florence was born July 21, 1925 in West, the daughter of Arnold Sr. and Louise (Hykel) Hajek. She attended the Ross school and on September 25, 1944 she was united in marriage to Alfons "Bob" Pustejovsky in West. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2005. Florence was a homemaker and a professional seamstress. She worked for several factories in the Waco area including, Wood's Manufacturing, Brown's Manufacturing, and the R.M. Crow Company for over 25 years before retiring in 1990. Florence enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and former member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was also a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 66 in Waco. She is also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Arnold Hajek Jr., Ray Hajek, Jody Hajek, Albin Hajek and William Hajek. Survivors include three sons, Robert W. Pustejovsky and wife Joyce, David J. Pustejovsky and wife Vicky and Ralph A. Pustejovsky and wife Debby, all of West; two sisters, Anna Kaska and husband George and Joan Holecek and husband Ernest; eight grandchildren, Sheree Dominguez, Robert Pustejovsky Jr., Trisha Sifers and husband James, Dustin Pustejovsky and wife Lacey, Amanda Adair, Whitney Pustejovsky, Taylor Pustejovsky and J. D. Feltgen and wife Penny; nine great-grandchildren, Bailey and Tiffany Adair, Morgan, Marissa and Derek Jackson, Bradon and Bryson Sifers, Tessa Pustejovsky and Austin Feltgen; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Robert Pustejovsky Jr., Dustin Pustejovsky, Louis Hajek, Andy Kaska, J. D. Feltgen and E. J. Holecek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
