Faye Kimbrough Hartsfield, age 99, of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, formerly of Waco, passed away Friday morning, August 15, 2008 at the Stanley Total Living Center in Mt. Holly. Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mt. Holly, with Rev. Ivan Davis officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. Mrs. Hartsfield was born in Bells, Texas, the daughter of Earl Calvin and Dove Savage Kimbrough. She was united in marriage to Weldon B. Hartsfield. He preceded her in death. She was a retired secretary with the Federal Government in Washington, DC and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stanley, North Carolina. She is also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen Frances Kimbrough; and one brother, Earl Calvin Kimbrough. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Smith Frazier of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Melanie Smith Black of Mount Holly, Robert Weldon Smith of Stanley, North Carolina, Susanne Frisco of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Melissa Smith Boughman of Mount Holly; six great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and several other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, Ill. 6060-7633.
