July 18, 1934 — March 2, 2014

Ewell B. Wiley Jr., age 79, of Gholson, passed away late Sunday morning, March 2, 2014 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, with Rev. Marvin Thompson officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Ewell was born July 18, 1934 in Waco, the son of Alice (Ammerman) and Ewell Wiley Sr. He attended Bells Hill Elementary and graduated from Waco Technical High School in 1953. He served his country with the United States Navy based in New Orleans. Ewell worked for HEB, Tymco and Behren Drug Company. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Waco. Ewell served as president and plant manager of the Gholson Water Supply. He enjoyed visiting with people. Survivors include a brother, Tommy Wiley of Gholson; two nieces, Kim Pfeiffer and friend, Mike Trammell and Tammy Wiley and friend, Kevin Bezdek, all of Gholson; several cousins including, Mike Cass and wife Barbara; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gholson Volunteer Fire Department.
