Evelyn F. Pribyla, age 89 of West formerly of Mt. Calm passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007 at her residence. Rosary will be recited by Janice Kaluza 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours; with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki, as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Penelope. Mrs. Pribyla was born December 3, 1917 in Penelope and had lived in the Penelope/Mt. Calm area most of her life and had been a resident of West for the past four years. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours and married Louis J. Pribyla on September 2, 1940 in Penelope. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2002. Survivors include a son, Lawrence Pribyla and wife Barbara of San Antonio, a daughter Carolyn Kocian and husband Richard of West, a brother Eugene Horak and wife Marie of West, one sister, Ann Schneider and husband Charles of Ft. Worth, three graddaughters, Diana Chase and husband Burton of San Antonio, Cynthia Pribyla of San Antonio and Rachel Croll and husband Daniel of Houston, and a grandson Daniel Kocian of the U.S. Navy in Hawaii; four great-grandchildren, Joe and Jory Herrera and Caleb and Charis Chase of San Antonio and several nieces and nephews. Acitve Pallbearers will be Dennis Sulak, Daniel Pratka, Ricky Kolar, James Urbanek, James Sulak and George Kocian. Memorials may be made to St. Martin's Catholic Church Building Fund or Hillcrest Community Hospice. Kotch Funeral Home of West is in charge of arrangements.
