Evelyn Charanza

Evelyn Charanza, age 87, of Ross, passed away late Wednesday evening, December 21, 2016 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Evelyn was born August 2, 1929 in West, the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Pospisil) Lichnovsky. She attended the old Tours School. On March 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to Adolph Charanza in Marlin. Evelyn was a loving Mother who always considered her family number one in her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Evelyn enjoyed camping, garage sales, dancing and listening to Czech music. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Johnnie Lichnovsky; and a sister, Dorothy Schulz. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Adolph Charanza of Ross; sons, Johnny Charanza and wife Cindy of Ross and Jerry Charanza and wife Donna of Leroy; a sister, Mary Ann Bezdek; grandchildren, Joey Charanza and wife Jaimie, Lisa Ray and husband Michael, Eric Charanza and wife Jenny and Kristi Sprayberry and husband Jeremy; great grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, Gage, Tyler, Kingsley, Primley and another great grandson on the way; very special friends, Katherine and Bill Foitek and Joni and Larry Pilgrim; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Joey Charanza, Eric Charanza, Michael Ray, Jeremy Sprayberry, Bill Foitek and Larry Pilgrim. Honorary pallbearers are Carter Charanza, Tyler Ray, Gage Gordon, Primley Sprayberry, Kingsley Sprayberry and Cooper Charanza. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice
