Evelina Lenart

Evelina Marie (Grones) Lenart, age 90, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 5, 2017, at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Darrell Kostiha as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery near West. Evelina was born February 10, 1927 in Hoen, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Sykora) Grones. She attended Alligator School. On June 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Raymond Lenart in West. Raymond preceded her in death on October 28, 1996. Evelina was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm and ranch. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Evelina was also a member of St. Anne's Altar Society, Catholic Daughter's of America Court #829 and SPJST Lodge #6 Cottonwood. Evelina enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, canning, reading and traveling. She especially loved visiting with people and was known for her kolaches and homemade bread. Evelina is also preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Paul Wayne Lenart. Survivors include her children, Robert Lenart Sr. of West, Louise Bednar and husband Joe of Carrollton and Walter Lenart and wife Debbie of Elm Mott; sisters, Helen Uptmor, Veronica Laubert and Nancy Polansky and husband John; grandchildren, Robert Lenart Jr. and wife Brenda, Sherry Lenart and Josh Martinez, Christopher Bednar, Kimberly Bednar, Danielle Lenart and fiance Chris Burklow and Marisa Lenart; great-grandchildren, Hunter Lenart, Fisher Lenart and Helanya Martinez; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Christopher Bednar, Keith Barak, Mark Uptmor, Carl Uptmor, David Laubert, Johnnie Lee Sulak, Leo Sulak Jr. and Calvin Sulak.
