Eunice Huffhines

Eunice (Bulls) Huffhines, age 73, of Ross, passed away Monday evening, May 2, 2005 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at West Church of Christ, with the Minister Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. in Temple. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Huffhines was born on September 12, 1931 in Troy, the daughter of Robert and Annie (Jennings) Bulls. She attended schools in Theo and Troy. On December 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Huffhines in Belfalls, Texas. They were co-owners and operators of the twin Texaco Truck Stop and Restaurant in Ross for several years and the Dairyland in McGregor until her retirement. Eunice loved spending time with her family, traveling and taking cruises. She was a faithful member of West Church of Christ for many years. Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald Ray Huffhines of Ross; one daughter, Donna Johnson of McGregor; four sons, Stephen Huffhines and wife Wanda of Woodway, Bruce Huffhines and wife Paula, Mark Huffhines and wife Bridgett, all of Ross, and Kenneth Huffhines, of San Antonio; four brothers, Lavere Bulls and wife Delores, Bob Bulls and wife Bonnie, Richard Bulls and wife Christine, and Lewis Bulls and wife Barbara, all of Temple; two sisters, Brooksie Corley of Corpus Christi and Doris McPherson and husband T. D. of McGregor; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Active pallbearers are Heath Huffhines, Jason Huffhines, David Huffhines, John Johnson, Trent Huffhines, Jennifer Kinnear, Craig Huffhines, Matthew Huffhines, Kelly Huffhines, Major Huffhines and Jett Huffhines. Memorials may be made to West Church of Christ.
