Estevan Trevino, age 85, of Hillsboro, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 8, 2024 at Town Hall Eststes in Hillsboro.
A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Graveside Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.
Estevan was born October 3, 1938 in Collidge, the son of Jose and Andrea (Martinez) Trevino. He attended schools in West. On August 18, 1963 he was united in marriage to Anselma "Alma" Urive in Waco. Alma preceded him in death on August 12, 2021. Estevan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He worked for 5J Feed Company in Leroy and was a farm hand for Raymond Beavers and Marco Westmoreland for many years. Estevan enjoyed going to the races at Prairie Hill and Ennis, fishing on the lake, attending family gatherings, and watching old western television shows and game shows. He was an avid fan of Dolly Parton.
Estevan is also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Frances Valdez, Betty Perez, Paula Galvan, and Rita Galvan; and a brother, Henry Trevino.
Survivors include his children, Dolores Castillo and husband Ralph of Waco, Jeanette Barrera and husband Herman of Aquilla, Juan Trevino and wife Judy of Waco; his grandchildren, Amber Cossey and husband Mike, Ralph Castillo Jr. and wife April, Frank Castillo and wife Sara Glatter, Stephanie Snipes, Michael Barrera and fiance Brianna Love, Christopher Barrera and wife Noemi, Donald Jares and wife Bree, and Lauren Jares; his brothers, Elojio Trevino and wife Rosie, Jose Trevino, and Johnny Trevino; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Ralph Castillo Jr., Frank Castillo, Michael Barrera, Donald Jares, Christopher Barrera, and Bryden Castillo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of your choice.
