Estelle Vanek Stanislav

Estelle (Vanek) Stanislav, age 97, of West, passed away early Monday morning, March 09, 2015, at Lake Shore Village Estates in Waco. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Estelle was born September 11, 1917 on her family farm in Penelope. She was the seventh of nine children born to Ludvik and Philomena (Blahuta) Vanek. She attended school in Cottonwood. Estelle married Jerry Stanislav on October 15, 1940, and they made their home on a farm just outside of West. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Catholic Daughters of America Sacred Heart Court #829 and KJZT St. Ludmilla Society #11. Estelle enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing Jumble in the Waco paper, Scrabble, jigsaw puzzles, and ceramics. Estelle was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son, Mike Stanislav; grandson, Michael Maguire, as well as her brothers Frank, Ben, Louis, and Edwin Vanek, and sisters Anna Vanek, Adele Bezdek, Teresa Sulak, and Anita Bezdek. Estelle is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Maguire and husband Jim of West; son Jerry Stanislav and wife Tina of Conroe; daughter-in-law Karen Stanislav of Waco; granddaughters Kathleen Kruger and husband Richard of China Spring and Susan Cooper of Round Rock; grandsons Brian Maguire and wife Tracey of Houston; Scott Stanislav of Sikeston, MO, and Kyle Stanislav of Waco; great grandchildren, Matthew Kruger and wife Julie, Andrew Kruger and wife Rebekah and Jason Kruger and wife Katie, Christopher Cooper, and Molly and Brennan Maguire; great-great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kamryn, Caleb and Karter Kruger; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Al Vanek, Allen Vanek, Brian Maguire, Scott Stanislav, Kyle Stanislav and Chris Cooper. Estelle lived at West Rest Haven from August 2007 until April 2013 and then Lakeshore Village Estates until her death. The family would like to thank the staff at both nursing homes for the love and care they showed to our mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
