Estelle Marie Wedeking

Estelle Marie Wedeking, age 77, of Ross, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Closner Cemetery near West. Estelle was born January 28, 1939 in Hoen, the daughter of Louis J. Matus and Mary (Hanak) Matus. She attended St. Mary's School in West and was a 1957 graduate of Connally High School. Estelle then attended 4-C Business College in Waco. On November 11, 1967 she was united in marriage to Charles R. Wedeking in Bellmead. Charles preceded her in death on December 4, 2007. Estelle worked was an Assistant Manager for Commercial Credit in Waco for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Estelle was also a member of the VFW Post No. 4819 Ladies Auxiliary. She always enjoyed dancing, listening to Czech music and hunting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Estelle is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eric Charles Wedeking; and a nephew, Michael Matus. Survivors include a son, Darren Wedeking and wife Shelley of Lorena; two brothers, Marvin Matus and wife Pam and Larry Matus and wife Marian; a granddaughter, Katelyn Wedeking; a grandson, Garrett Wedeking; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Closner Cemetery or to the charity of your choice.
