Ernie Chudej

Ernest Louis "Ernie" Chudej, age 78, of Waco, passed away Wednesday morning, January 11, 2023 at Lakeshore Village in Waco.

Per the request of Ernest, no services will be held.

Ernie was born December 5, 1944 in Waco, the son of Louis and Annie (Nors) Chudej. He attended St. Mary's School in West and was baptized and confirmed a Catholic at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Ernie proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4819 and the National Rifle Association. He was a construction worker by trade, building many commercial buildings including some at Baylor University in his earlier years. Ernie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, drinking a pivo, going out to eat, and visiting with friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of the West VFW Post #4819 and the National Rifle Association.

Ernie is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Johnny and Jimmie Chudej.

Survivors include his children, Denise Clark and husband Zach of West and Ernest Chudej ll of Sequim, WA; his grandchildren, Brianna, Nathan, Tyler, and Gage; a brother, Edward Chudej; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Humane Society.
