Erline Husak

Erline M. Husak, age 88, of West, passed away early Tuesday afternoon, April 26, 2022 at West Rest Haven, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the West Brethren Church, with Rev. Gerry Davis and Terry Crawford officiating.  Burial will follow at the West Brethren Cemetery.

Erline was born November 12, 1933 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Emil and Annie (Krcma) Marek.  She attended school in Hillsboro and was a 1951 graduate of Hillsboro High School.  On June 16, 1956 she was united in marriage to Edwin Husak in West.  Erline was a longtime and very faithful member of the West Brethren Church, where she sang in the choir, played the piano, taught Sunday School, and was very active with the Christian Sisters.  She was a homemaker, mother, and worked for Pioneer Savings and International Paper Company in Waco, and Lorch Manufacturing Company in West.  Erline enjoyed sewing, crafting, helping others, tending to her flowers, and cooking.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Erline is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Ron Sulak; and a sister, Evelyne Schultz.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years, Edwin Husak of West; her children, Cindy Sulak of Troy and Dan and Stacie Husak of Deridder, LA; her grandchildren, Jason and Abigale Sulak, Kaylie and Matt Stroud, Kacie and Seth Johnson, Jacob and Leah Sulak, Tyler Husak, Taylor Husak, and Stryder Husak; eight great grandchildren, Lylah Stroud, Carter Stroud, Annalee Johnson, Jonen Sulak, Eleanor Johnson, Jasen Sulak, Clara Johnson, and Dakota Husak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Jason Sulak, Jacob Sulak, Matt Stroud, Seth Johnson, Ron Borrenpohl, and Nick Conner.  Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Husak, Stryder Husak, and Taylor Husak.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Brethren Church Christian Sisters or the charity of your choice.
