Erin Elizabeth (Casey) Perez, age 24, of Abbott, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Burial will follow at Abbott Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Erin was born on March 8, 1981 in Waco, the daughter of John and Sarah (Wilcox) Casey. She attended Abbott schools, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Abbott High School in 1998. On September 25, 1999, she was united in marriage to Christopher Perez in Brandon. Erin was currently employed as a clerk and cashier for Kaska's That Czech Bakery in West. She formerly worked at The Bible Factory in Hillsboro for several years and The Turkey Shop in Abbott. Erin loved spending time with her children, watching movies, and reading the Bible. She also loved being around friends and family and listening to Chris' band, "Whiskey Hill". She was a member of the Abbott Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. Survivors include her beloved husband, Chris of Abbott; one son, Christopher "Topher" Perez of Abbott; one daughter, Chyanne Willett of Abbott; her parents, John and Sarah Casey of Abbott; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Santos and Judy Perez of Iowa; two sisters, Jessica Carlton and her husband John of Elm Mott, and Amber Lewis and her husband Eddie of Abbott; her brother-in-law, Fred Ballard and his wife Christi of Germany; two sisters-in-law, Crystal Long and her husband Michael of Iowa, and Amy Shelton and her husband Albert of Itasca; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are Ryan Kaska, Roger Kaska, Chris Adcock, Ryan Evans, Albert Shelton, Albert Rozeboom, Michael Long, and Tony Willett. Honorary pallbearers are John Carlton, Eddie Lewis, George Moralez, Jerry Miller, and Brian Timmons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Scholarship Fund for her children, Christopher Perez and Chyanne Willett.
