Eric Joseph Terral, age 14, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away early Saturday morning, April 10, 2010 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with the Rev. Timothy Vavarek and Rev. Rex Bland officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery near Chalk Bluff. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Eric was born on January 21, 1996 in Waco, the son of Dustin Ray and Jennifer Marie (Breen) Terral. He was a seventh grader at Connally Junior High where he played football. He also attended schools in Axtell and West. Eric loved all sports and was currently playing baseball with the Lacy Lakeview League and playing basketball. He enjoyed playing video games, drawing art projects, going to Lake Whitney, and playing with his dog Tanner. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead and the Choctaw Indian Tribe. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Terral, who passed away August 27, 2007; his grandmother, Ozella Breen; and great great grandfather, Grand Dad Walser. Survivors include his parents, Dustin and Jennifer Terral of Waco; one sister, Kassie Marie Terral of Waco; biological father, B. W. (Toby) Brown Jr. of Houston; maternal grandfather, Joe Breen of Chalk Bluff; paternal grandparents, Joe Terral of Whitney and Lori Fletcher of Robinson; great grandparents, Joe and Marie Terral of Axtell; biological grandparents, B. W. Brown Sr. of Elm Mott and Thelma Edwards of Spring; uncles, Bobby Breen of Bellmead, Jay West and Logan West, both of Robinson; aunt, Hannah West stationed in Maryland; his dog, Tanner; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Roy Toten Jr., Larry Skopik, Steven Carter, Keith Lowery, Trey Copeland, and Philip King. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lacy Lakeview Police Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Little League or the Children's Miracle Network.
