Enola Antonson

Enola Marie Antonson, age 86, of Whitney, passed away Sunday morning, June 24, 2018 at her son's residence near Smith Bend. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West with Rev. James Patton officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney. Enola was born June 1, 1932, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Henry and Mandevilia (LeBlanc) Doublet. She attended high school in San Antonio. On December 14, 1962 she was united in marriage to Francis C. "Andy" Antonson in San Antonio. Andy preceded her in death on November 21, 1991. Enola was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, barbequing, and visiting with family. Enola is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Arthur Graham and David Allen Antonson; a daughter, Shirley Tapp; a sister, Joannes Boman; and a brother, Henry Doublet. Survivors include her children, Richard Graham and wife Gloria of Smith Bend and Shelley Merek of Waco; her sisters, Theresa Coones, Patrica Damron and Nell Phelps and husband Roy; a brother, Edward Doublet; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a great great grandson; her dog, Roxy; and many nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Richard Graham, Colby Lawrence, Colby Pryor, Ivan Medina, Jay Strickland and Paul Strickland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
