Emma Lou Croll

Emma Lou Croll, age 96, of West, formerly of Columbia, Missouri, passed away late Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018 at West Rest Haven in West. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Missouri. Emma was born September 30, 1921 in Frankford, MO the daughter of Garrett D. and Donnie Lou (Watts) Hayden. She attended schools in New London and was a graduate of New London High School. On October 24, 1941 she was united in marriage to John A. Croll in New London. John preceded her in death on May 13, 2005. Emma was a homemaker and worked for the Navy ROTC at the University of Missouri for over 10 years. She was a former member of the First Christian Church of New London and Columbia. Emma is also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Cara Croll Taylor; brothers, Harrell Hayden, Charles Hayden and Clayborn Hayden; and a sister, Dorothy Ragan. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Dr. John Croll and wife Marsha of West, TX and Dr. Gregory Croll and wife Carin of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Daniel Croll and wife Rachel, Robert Croll and wife Kelli, Lauren Croll and Gregory Croll II; great grandchildren, Jack, Ellen and Luke Croll; a grandson-in-law, Max Taylor and his daughters, Brooks and Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
