Ellen Wilson, age 81, of West, formerly of Arlington, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, September 6, 2017 at her residence. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m. for a luncheon, until service time. Ellen was born October 3, 1935 in Wichita Falls, the daughter of T. B. and Turner (Hendon) Wilson. She attended schools in Meridian, Tarleton Academy and the University of Texas. Ellen worked as a paralegal for several attorneys in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area prior to her retirement in 2008. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Society. Ellen enjoyed playing the piano, working with stained glass, reading, gardening, Art and Museums, sewing, and doing needlework. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janell Warren; and two great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Kathy Goad of Kennedale, Bobbie Dickerson of Waco, Claudia Wolfe of West and Herb "Trey" Warren III and wife Michelle of Lorena; brothers, Ted Wilson and wife Brandy and Robert Wilson and wife Sherry; a sister, Susan Wilson; grandchildren, Stacy, Stephanie, Melissa, Amanda, Sandra, April, Kasey, Alex and Gage; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
