Elizabeth L. Hutyra, age 92, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Hutyra was born November 12, 1919 in Hoen, the daughter of Henry and Emily (Dvorsky) Macicek. She attended school in Cottonwood. On November 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Robert V. Hutyra in Waco. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2006. Elizabeth was a homemaker. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of St. Anne's Altar Society. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, and caring for her daughter, Theresa. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank Macicek. Survivors include a son, Robert J. Hutyra and wife Georgia of West; and two daughters, Margaret Kubala and husband Kenneth and Theresa Hutyra, all of West; a sister, Christine Matus; grandchildren, Rodney Hutyra and wife Aimee, Michael Hutyra, Kristie Bryant and husband Blake, Angela Kennedy and husband Brad, Kenneth Kubala Jr. and wife Brandi, and Andrea Clifton and husband Chris; great grandchildren, Lucas and Cole Bryant and Jack Kennedy; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Rodney Hutyra, Michael Hutyra, Kenneth Kubala Jr., Blake Bryant, Brad Kennedy and Chris Clifton. Honorary pallbearers are Aimee Hutyra, Kristie Bryant, Angela Kennedy, Andrea Clifton and Brandi Kubala. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Memorial Fund or to the History of West Museum.
