Elfriede Elfie Hodges

Elfriede "Elfie" Hodges, age 93, of Elm Mott, passed away late Saturday night, April 9, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Bro. Jeff Wyers officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Elfie was born October 4, 1922 in Pirmasens, Germany the daughter of Adam and Anna (Fritzinger) Ehresmann. She attended school in Germany. On December 7, 1978 she was united in marriage to Billy Hodges in Waco. Billy preceded her in death in November of 1989. Elfie was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, listening to German music, dancing and visiting with her friends. She especially loved taking care of her grandchildren. Elfie is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Hans Ehresmann; a brother, George Ehresmann; and a sister, Annalese Ehresmann. Survivors include a daughter, Amy Waltisperger and husband Robert of Elm Mott; a son, Dieter Ehresmann of Germany; grandchildren; Markus Jolic and wife Vera, Thorsten Ehresmann and wife Meika, Barney King II and wife Teralyn, Bettina Humphries and husband Billy, Elaine Harper and husband Robert, Hans Ehresmann Jr. and wife Amanda, Cindy Jenson and husband Charlie, and Jared Waltisperger; 20 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Kristoffer Harper, Shay Harper, Billy Humphries Jr., Jeremy Humphries, Devon McFarlin and Hunter Byerly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elm Mott Fire and Rescue or the charity of your choice.
