Elda (Bluhm) Huse, age 79, of West, passed away late Wednesday evening, September 6, 2006 in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Walter Albers officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Huse was born March 3, 1927 in West, the daughter of Otto and Hulda (Banik) Bluhm. She was raised in the Ross area and attended Ross schools. On December 23, 1945 she was united in marriage to Adolph K. Huse in Waco. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1995. Elda worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Waco for 34 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, where she was a faithful member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed bowling, canning, gardening, doing yard work, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and living in the country. Survivors include a son, Ron Huse and his wife Brenda of West; a brother, Emil Bluhm of West; two sisters, Annie King and Wilma Lehman, both of Waco; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Huse of Bedford and Brent Huse and his wife Michelle of West; and many neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
