Elberta P. (Bettinger) Reddell, age 99, of Gholson, passed away Friday afternoon, March 8, 2013 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, followed by visitation until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Mack Patteson officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at Waco Memorial Park. Mrs. Reddell was born August 26, 1913 in Waco, the daughter of Charles and Ella (Knippel) Bettinger, Sr. She graduated from Waco High School in 1931 and attended Durham Business College. On January 19, 1935 she was united in marriage to Euralee Reddell in Waco. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1981. Elberta was a homemaker and also the owner of Reddell RV Park in Gholson. She was a former member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She also served as president of the Gholson P.T.A. and was a member of the Gholson Birthday Club. She enjoyed ceramics, spending time at the RV Park, sewing, painting, working the elections, and especially loved spending time with her family. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Reddell; three brothers, Charles Bettinger, Leon Bettinger, and Ralph Bettinger; and a sister, Evelyn Burke. Survivors include two sons, Karl Lee Reddell and wife Elsie of Gholson and Terry F. Reddell and wife Cathy of Hubbard; a daughter, Diana Wellborn and husband Bobby of Iredell; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Aigner; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Rhonda McCartney, Karen Hix, Terry Reddell Jr., Jeff Reddell, Joel Wellborn, Troy Wellborn, and Margo Mack. Memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Gholson or charity of your choice.
