Edna was born on April 3, 1941, in Waco, the daughter of Layton and Jonnie (Miller) Warren. A proud graduate of Midway High School, Edna's bright spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many throughout her journey. On September 10, 1960, Edna married Calvin "Scotty" Scoggins, who would be her partner in life until his passing on February 15, 2011. Their love story is etched in the hearts of all who knew them. A devoted and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Gholson, Edna found strength and community in her faith. Edna enjoyed a fulfilling career as a secretary for the Waco Department of Public Safety, where she dedicated many years before retiring in 2006. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Dallas. Known for her green thumb, she found joy in nurturing her plants and spending time outdoors. Edna cherished her family above all, and she delighted in the laughter and love shared with them, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren who filled her life with joy. Edna will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, creativity, and passion for life-whether it was shopping in Canton, antiquing, reading, crafting, or caring for her beloved dogs. She held a special place in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
