Edith (Holub) Nors, age 87, of West, passed away late Sunday evening, October 18, 2015 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Edith was born March 4, 1928 in Hill County near Penelope, the daughter of Edward and Francis (Mensik) Holub. She attended Penelope schools. On October 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Joseph "Joe" Nors in Penelope. Joe preceded her in death on December 13, 1989. Edith operated a day care in her home for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #829, K.J.Z.T. Society #11 and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Entertaining was also a great joy and she loved spending time with her family. Edith is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert "Bob" Nors; a son-in-law, Gary Shepherd; a granddaughter, Shelly Easter; and three brothers, John Holub, Jerry Holub and Bill Holub. Survivors include her children, Connie Tosh and husband Chad of Ft. Worth, T.C. Nors and wife JoAnn of Penelope and Ann Janeke and husband Richard of Reagan; two brothers, Henry Holub and wife Carolyn and Frankie Holub and wife Shirley; two sisters, Martha Hosek and husband Eugene and Frances Soukup and husband Steve; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Jeffrey Nors, Joseph Nors, Brandon Nors, Bryan Nors, Troy Janeke and Timothy Easter. Honorary pallbearers are Brody Nors, Cole Nors, Peyton Nors and Wyatt Nors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund or St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund.
