Drue Pack, age 76, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away early Sunday morning, April 13, 2008 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Drue was born August 19, 1931 in the Tokio Community near West, the daughter of Wade and Lola (Whalen) Scott. She attended the Tokio school and West High School. On July 8, 1967 she was united in marriage to Alvin R. Pack in Dallas. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1979. Drue worked at the Village Bakery in West for over 20 years and currently worked as a baker for Wal-Mart. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco and a former member of the First Baptist Church in West. Drue enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and playing with her cats, especially Lilly Bell. She loved spending time with her family. Drue is also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phoebie Scott. Survivors include two daughters, Lisanne Trcka and husband Todd of San Antonio and Kellie Pack of Waco; a son, Dwane Barr and wife Bonnie of White, Georgia; three brothers, Bill Scott and wife Naomi of West, Calvin (Bob) Scott and wife Betty of Ross, and Jerell Scott and wife Paulette of China Spring; four sisters, Naomi Parker of DeSoto, Mollie Holecek and husband Larry of Ross, Sandy McGee and husband Mike and Jeanne Kapczynski and husband Beno, all of West; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are Travis Scott, Tim Scott, Todd Trcka, David Scott, Steven Holecek, Terry Graves, Sammy Gerik, and Matt McGee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Building Fund.
