Dorothy Wiebusch

Dorothy (Sykora) Kohl Wiebusch, age 90, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 12, 2011 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wiebusch was born December 29, 1920 in Ross the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Sulc) Sykora. She attended the Leggett School. In September of 1939 she was united in marriage to George Kohl in Ross. He preceded her in death in September of 1969. On October 19, 1970 she was united in marriage to Clarence B. Wiebusch in Marlin. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1996. Dorothy was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria for the Methodist Home in Waco for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, going to church, visiting at the West Senior Center and going out to eat. She especially loved being with her family and her church family. For the last year Dorothy loved being a resident of West Rest Haven. She cared deeply for the other residents and staff. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Ann Kohl; an infant sister; a brother; and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Danny Kohl and wife Jo Ellen of McGregor; four daughters, JoAnn Williams and husband Keith of West, Georgia Storrs and husband Ronnie of Woodway, Diana Bendall of Russellville, AL, and Barbara Poe and husband Tony of Hewitt; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Michael Williams, Mark Williams, Jason Kay, Gary Kofnovec, Larry Plemmons, Patrick Kohl and Jared Ussery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund or to West Rest Haven Memorial Fund.
